Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the startup of a warehouse or transportation project, from requirements definition, through testing, documentation, training and go-live support.
Lead and provide on-going improvement projects with existing operations and support special projects such as warehouse wholesale/distribution activity function operation, logistics, real-estate, facility management, and new service development.
Lead and support cross-functional start-up team (set up, train and equip) in Project implementation.
Conduct Process Design, Review and Implementation blue print including layout design, business process review and documentation, Warehouse Management System configuration, new facility set-up and start up operations which meet or exceed our requirements & customer expectations.
Review of Implementation & Operation status with customers & management on a timely and regular basis.
Provide online management report on implementation status and budget figures on a timely and regular basis mthly, quarterly, annually..
Train and transit operating team from start-up to future 3PL operations manager which may include; Staff training plan, Recruitment of operations staff, Staff development activity and Ensure efficient communication between inter-departments
Maintain good working relationships with company’s customers
Act as Operations Manager during the start up phase.
Ensure time-lines and budgets are met

Requirements:

Degree in Logistics (*experience substituted for experience), 3PL Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience in the logistics field.
Minimum 10 years of *experience in logistics operations management providing overall direction, implementation, TQM, QC’s and continuous improvement in all phases of logistics solutions.
Good working knowledge of the following operations areas – domestic distribution, warehouse management, inventory planning, transportation management and logistics execution systems..
Well versed with the use of Project management tools
Proficient with MS Office suite products, MS Visio and Cognos Impromptu.
Proven transportation /logistics / supply chain management knowledge
Strategic thinking ability, proven implementation results
Superior customer relationship management skills
In depth knowledge of international transportation, with regional emphasis/expertise
Excellent negotiation experience with subcontractors, transporters, & vendors.
Experience with customs and regulatory issues related to logistics
A proven, experienced resource in solutions and implementations
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent Interpersonal skills
Strong written and oral communications skills
Ability to re-prioritize workload to support urgent requests from various operations.
Able to travel extensively within short notice for
